the hotel exceeded every expectation i held dear. the sprawling gardens offered a tranquil retreat (i loved the roses!), difficult to leave behind. i remember the attentiveness shown, with recommendations for local places to dine. i found the grounds immaculate, an absolute joy to wander through each morning.
the honesty bar lacked some essential items. i particularly missed lemons for my gin and tonic. it's a small detail, yet one that could elevate the experience.

i stayed at this lovely hotel. the house boasts extensive grounds maintained to the highest standard. breakfasts were delicious with a wide variety. the staff was helpful .
the honesty bar had no lemons for gin and tonic! i would have appreciated having this available. it was a small inconvenience .
